“One of my favorite TATWTESBTISBAs — Truths About The World That Everyone Should Be Taught In School But Aren’t — is that the real world is a wildly unpredictable place, and that most interesting or important things that happen aren’t predictable, because there are simply too many moving parts and unknown factors at play.”
This is one of the reasons macro economic forecasting frustrated me. Why spend time predicting the unpredictable? I guess just like elections people can’t help but speculate when there’s so much on the line and money to be made.
I’ve also been thinking about blogging my list of TATWTESBTISBAs. Hopefully more on that soon.
